Joyful Stars August Blog Hop

   Thank you for stopping by for the Joyful Stars Team Blog Hop again this month.  The theme for this month is "Anything New".   If you are coming from Krista Hershberger's blog at kristascraftycorner.blogspot.com, then you are on the right path.
   There are so many things I love about the new Fall/Winter Idea Book.  I wasn't sure what I should highlight in this post.  I decided to showcase the New Artbooking Cartridge by making the art on the cover of the catalog.  Here is the original artwork provided by CTMH's art department.

 Here is my version.  I loved the way they made the title and I must confess, I knew you could use the outline of the cuts, but I didn't know I could write parts of sentences and space them correctly.  Perhaps you didn't know either.  If that is the case, you simple use the space button on your cricut when you are entering the characters you want to be cut, like I did for the "it is all the".

Sneak Peek: Huntington Layout Class

Sorry I have been missing in action.  I recently broke my camera which makes uploading pictures of artwork to my blog almost impossible.  So I will apologize up front for the decreased quality of my photos, but its as good as it gets right now.  I am super excited to be featuring the Huntington Paper pack for my new layout class in August.  It is perfect for fall, pumpkin photos, or anything at all for that matter.  So without further delay, here are the 3 two-page layouts for my class.  The first two are from the Huntington Workshop on the Go and are modified slightly.  The third is inspired by a layout I saw on scrapbook generation.

   I decided to do something a little different this month.  This is a make n take for my Open House at the end of the month.  I created a magnetic board using the For Always textiles and Base and Bling Floral Accents (a new product available 8/1). I purchased the sheet metal from Lowe's and used a glue gun to adhere the fabric to the metal.  I purchased magnets from K&J Magnetics and used liquid glass to attach them to the floral accents. I decided to use mine for showcasing bible verses.  Below is a the board without the scriptures.
