March Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us for our monthly team blog hop. This month we are continuing to feature new products from the  2014 spring/summer Idea book. If you are coming from my lovely fellow consultant Crystal Davis at craftingwithcrystal.blogspot.com, then you are on the right path.

This month I decided to work with the Timberline paper pack.  I created 3 layouts using the compliment and the assortment.  I loved working with this paper pack because I am a mom of 3 boys and this paper is perfect for layouts for outdoors or other manly things.  Take a look at what I created.

Here's a closer look of how I used the zipstrip to make my own patterned paper.

February Joyful Stars Blog Hop

This month I decided to recreate the artwork on page 122. I changed it up by using the Ariana paper pack instead of Lollydoodle. Take a look at how cute it turned out.  Here are a few hints that might be helpful if you try to recreate this.  All the balloons are cut on glitter paper.  The purple balloons are silver glitter paper with the purple glitter gems on top.  Then I used liquid glass over it all to hold them in place.  I also used liquid glass on the owl's belly for demension.  I would love to hear your comments.
 A closer look!

October Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping by for the Joyful Stars Team Blog Hop again this month.  The theme for this month is "Anything Fall or Christmas".   If you are coming from Angelina Romero's blog at papercraftingwithangelina.blogspot.comthen you are on the right path.
I decided to do something fall, festive, and fun for the whole family, using the Artbooking Cartridge.  This cartridge is not just for scrapbooking.  Look how I used a few of the fall pieces: leaves, pumpkins, and apples, to create a game for my kiddos.  I saw the game on pinterest.
1) First a few cuts from the Artbooking Cartridge in fun fall colors.
 2) Then the fun starts.  Using a straw and your lung capacity, lift the cut outs into a bucket as fast as you can in 30 seconds.  The person with the most wins.  Here are my boys giving it a try.  Don't ask why my youngest like to pretend it's still summer.

I hope you enjoyed seeing that the Artbooking Cartridge is much more than amazing scrapbook layouts and mini albums.    Thanks for stopping by.  Now hop over to the talented Elizabeth Mindemann  at ejoym.blogspot.com to see what she has created.

September Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping by for the Joyful Stars Team Blog Hop again this month.  The theme for this month is "Artist Choice".   If you are coming from Joyce Houck's blog at Joyce-joyfulcreations.blogspot.com, then you are on the right path.
I can not take the credit for this beautiful card.  It is pictured on page 119 of the New Fall/Winter Idea book, but I just had to recreate it for myself.  It does such a splendid job of showcasing all the new embellishments like the Rosewood Mini Medley (my personal favorite) and the Ruby Medley.
I made a few changes.  I stayed with the smoothie cardstock and I paired it with the Frosted paper, just like the talented art department at CTMH did.  They used the lacey paper from the Frosted pack that has the chevron on the other side and I chose the one with the snowflakes.  Mostly just to prove that the snowflakes could be used on a birthday card.  I bet you didn't even notice. The muted colors are so beautiful for just about anything.

Supply List:
Frosted Paper Pack (X7175B)
Smoothie Cardstock (X5763)
Joyful Birthday Stamp set (B1419)
Rosewood Mini Medley (Z1857)
Ruby Mini Medley (Z1861)
Floret Paper Shapes (Z1764)
Thanks for stopping by.  Now hop over to the talented Krista Hershberger at   Kristascraftycorner.blogspot.com to see what she has created.
