Announcing my first kit of the Month using the Scholastic Paper Pack

I am so excited to announce my first kit of the month.  But before I do, I wanted to apologize for my absence from the blogging world.  I now have 2 kiddos in school and my 2 year old home with only me for company.  Getting to the computer has become more challenging.  I have found ample time to create while having play dates, so look forward to lots of artwork to inspire you.  I appreciate your continued support and will make time to post here more often, now that I am adjusting to my new routine.

So the kit of the month....so excited.  The kit of the month consists of all you will need to create 3 lovely layouts including cutting instructions and color photos of the layouts.  The best part is you can customize it to create the layouts with or without the embellishments to fit everyone's budget and style.  So for the next 5 months, I will post a kit of the month.  Purchase them all or just your very favorites.

The September kit of the month was inspired by scrapbook generation.  Check out their website here.

The September Kit is available with three options:
Option 1: the Basic Kit- includes The Scholastic Paper Pack, 1 extra sheet of champagne cardstock, and 2 sheets of colonial white cardstock.  This kit will not include any of the stamping or embellishments and is designed for you to embellish out of your own stash
Option 2: The Embellished Kit- includes The Scholastic workshop on the Go.  This contains everything from kit one as well as Color Ready Noted Canvas Shapes, Durables Square Studs, and My Acrylix Scholastic Workshop Stamp set.
Option 3: All-Inclusive Kit- includes everything from kit 2, the Scholastic My Stickease Assortment and the School is Here Stamp set.  This will allow you to duplicate my layouts completely.

Please note you will need basic tools and supplies to complete these layouts ie personal cutting tool, inks, blocks, scissors, and adhesive.

To order a kit(s), you may either send me a check or pay securely online with a credit card or your PayPal account by using the PayPal “Buy Now” buttons below.  You will receive your items within 2 weeks or less.  All kits must be pre-paid.  Thank for you understanding.

Extra Grace Required!

So we are on our second week of school here, which means the second week of Graycen and I being home alone together.  I know it was been a while since I have posted his daring adventures, but yesterday was a whopper.  You know I posted once before that our shoes were missing for a week and Graycen had hid them in the washing machine when he wasn't even tall enough to reach (1 yr old).  See post here for more details. Well it seems like he is revisiting old tricks.  Except this time, he was helping load the washer with laundry and I found a few items that didn't belong.
We wrapped up the day with a haircut from one of our best buddies who is only 5.  But don't worry, he asked Graycen's permission first, and he said Yes.  Check out Graycen's new do.
His response after I told him his buddy had ruined his hair!

I recieved the Liebster Award!

I received the Liebster Award!

Holly Valerius of Keep Those Scissors Flying has nominated me for a Liebster!  This is truly an honor.

A little about the Liebster.  This is how it works...

Liebster is a German word meaning "Beloved", "Favorite", or "Dearest".  This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favorite bloggers with less than 200 followers. The origins of this award is unclear, but it believed to have originated by a German blogger.  This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay if forward fashion to share your dearest and most beloved blogs that have less than 200 followers.

Rules for Acceptance
Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog.  Post the award onto your blog.  Give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate that have less than 200 followers.  Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award.

One of the fun things about receiving  this award is that it challenges you to view more blogs to search for fellow creative person and brighten their day--just a bit--by acknowledging their talent.

Okay and now for my favorite five...

  drum roll please
and not in any particular order...

Mindy Adams- The Determined Scrapper
Patti- Patti's PaperScraps
Melissa- My Creative Journey
Jennifer Kelly- Paper Traditions
Vanessa- Paper Crafts Unlimited Designs

Be sure to visit these ladies (they are all super talented) and see who they pass the award on to.  This is such a great way to expand your creative circle.
